Paper Folding and Problem Solving workshop

6th September 2014 (All day)
  |  Venue: Library of Birmingham

We'll be running workshops as part of this year's British Science Festival in Birmingham, so you can join us and get stuck in!

Fractals are shapes which are made up of smaller copies of themselves, and have many interesting properties. Mathematician Katie Steckles describes what a fractal is, then takes you through the process of building a fractal - using only paper, and no glue! It’s a problem solving workshop, so there’ll be plenty to work out for yourself - but help will be on hand if you get stuck.
